やっぱり『item』と『good』の違いがよくわからなくてモヤっているので、この機会に調べ直しすることにしました。

thing と item と stuff と goods はどう違いますか？

Thing and stuff and pretty much the same, and item and a good are also the same.
Thing and stuff mean anything that you don't remember the name of usually.
Item and good are objects you buy usually.

Thing と stuff はかなり同じで、item と good も同じです。
Thing と stuff は普通その名前を思い出さない何かを意味します。
Item と good は普段あなたが買う物です。
